    The Inside Plant Engineering team is a high-performing group of individuals who collectively make TELUS one of the leading telecommunications companies in Canada.

    The team is responsible for all Central Office based equipment designs for the TELUS core network and is the gatekeeper of the TELUS Central Office inventory.


    As a Design Specialist II in Inside Plant Engineering you will work as an integral member of the leadership team.

    Contribute to crafting strategic direction to high performing technical resources completing Inside Plant Engineering tasks
    Operate under the mentorship of senior and peer engineers to advance your career and expand your scope of practice; Collaborate with our key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes on all TELUS Central Office based projects
    Collaborate and mentor team members and provide effective training to the team and our stakeholders as needed
    Leverage your Dev-Ops skills to help strengthen Dev-Ops practice within TELUS
    Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
    ~2 to 5 of years of experience as a physical network design engineer or team leader, preferably in a DevOps or agile environment, with expertise in networking equipment, power and physical infrastructure
    ~ Creative thinking and problem solving abilities
    ~ Experience with network & inventory tools such as NetCracker, SAP, MicroStation and Meridian
    Previous physical network installation experience as asset
    Prior participation in the planning, material ordering, design and deployment of network equipment in a telecommunications or data center environment
    Performance Bonus or
    Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

    Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
