Days/Evenings/ Night shifts; 7.5-hours

JOB SUMMARY:

Grand River Hospital is looking for Switchboard Operators to be a part of the hospital's centralized switchboard team. In this role, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Responsible for the processing of calls to both sites
Paging within and across sites
Monitoring of all alarms, panels, and security systems
Responding to emergency codes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma
Previous customer service experience in call center preferred
Competent in Word and Excel
Proficiency in keyboarding, minimum 45 wpm
Must be able to sit for a long period of time
Pleasant telephone manners
Medical terminology preferred
Ability to work independently
Good attendance record
