Job description for Industrial Postdoctoral Fellow positions:

Plan, Design and perform solid and solution phase synthesis of small and large molecule libraries to support R&D projects.
Construction of focused and targeted molecule libraries for screening against varied pharmacological target systems utilizing parallel synthesis and combinatorial chemistry techniques.
Carry out synthesis of Chemical intermediates and analog libraries as per the need of the libraries and communicate efficiently to the project or program team.
Design and execution of multi-step synthesis of new small / large molecules, including analogues for structure-activity relationship (SAR) determination, hit-to-lead (H2L) and lead optimization (milligram to gram scale) individually or in a library format.
Participate in a multidisciplinary team committed to the continuous improvement of the lead optimization process as well as the expeditious identification of development compounds.
Data collection, analysis and interpretation of data sets. Proposal and follow-up experiments based on data trends.
Troubleshoot and optimize reaction sequences and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Prepare summary documents and presentations to chemistry and project teams and patent filings.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSc or PhD degree in Organic Synthesis, Bioorganic or Medicinal Chemistry, with

0-2 years of relevant Post Doctoral/Industrial experience. Past working experience in Combinatorial chemistry is an asset.

Applicant recently graduated from a Canadian University or those ones holding

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of combinatorial organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, purification in the optimization of lead compounds is preferred.
Good knowledge of scientific principles, methods, and techniques.
Experience with the operation of standard laboratory instrumentation (e.g.,

NMR, MS, automated chromatography), and data analysis.

Good problem-solving, analytical thinking skills.
Proven track record of scientific achievement, as demonstrated by successful R&D accomplishments and peer-reviewed publications.
Strong time management skills to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional scientists.
Entrepreneurial spirit, and constantly seeking creative solutions to challenging problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
