Veterinary Assistant/receptionist - Delta, Canada - North Delta Animal Hospital

Description

We are seeking a Full time and Part time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist for our small animal practice.

Should be comfortable working around dogs and cats.

Diploma/Certificate in Veterinary Assistant, and/or relevant work experience in the field and knowledge of Avimark Software is an asset.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Answering phones, scheduling appointments and communicating with clients in person

Regulating inventory

General premises cleaning and hygiene

Assisting the Veterinarian in handling animals during general and surgical procedures

Taking care of inhouse hospitalized patients and boarding animals including the hospital owned cats

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Delta, BC V4C 6R1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)

• Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
