ROLE


The Head of Marketing role is dedicated to ensuring that our presence and communication outside of the Amazon platform is consistent, on brand, and agreeable with our customer avatar.

They are responsible for coordinating with the Social Media Manager to ensure our social media platforms and partnerships with influencers build our brand presence while also leading to additional sales.


Finally, the Head of Marketing will coordinate with the Paid Media manager to oversee paid media and ensure we are hitting company goals for driving external traffic to Amazon or other platform.

The Head of Marketing will create marketing plans and strategies based that align with company goals and vision.

They must manage their marketing team members and analyze data that can be used to improve the strategy and get closer to hitting company goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build Marketing Strategy for product mix, target audience, brand voice, brand identity, and brand position.
  • Plan Annual, Quarterly, Monthly marketing campaigns, launches, and initiatives
  • Develop marketing budget and collaborate with Brand Manager / Director and Owner on spending needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with marketing team on appropriate marketing mix needed for each campaign
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create a formulaic process the team can rely upon for marketing initiatives
  • Create a marketing dashboard for campaign reporting
  • Analyze campaign data to determine best practices and solve issues
  • Project Manage campaigns, launch, and other marketing initiatives
  • Develop new ideas and strategies for engaging our customer avatar
  • Manage schedules for campaigns, product launches, and other marketing initiatives
  • Partner closely with Brand Management Team to help them understand marketing initiatives across all platforms
  • Document key learnings and insights around pricing trends, industry standards, changes in social platform policy, for communication to internal stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Identify trends and insights in our niche, and optimize performance based on the insights
  • Formulate effective media strategies to accomplish brand specific goals
  • Track and generate sales through various marketing campaigns that utilize Amazon's attribution links to track sales data

RESULTS

  • Our customer avatar finds our content engaging and serving their needs
  • Our customer avatar enjoys helping our brand develop new product ideas
  • Our customer avatar is introduced to our other products they may not have seen before
  • Our customer avatar is given the opportunity to purchase from us again
  • We are communicating with our customer avatar across multiple channels
  • We maintain a CRM that provides insight into our customers and we can turn that insight into revenue
  • Our customer list, subscribers, and followers are always growing
  • Images created and shared on social are exactly what our customer avatar finds appealing
  • Social media marketing strategies are planned and coordinated in advance so our other teams can prepare for increased sessions/conversions/sales

REQUIREMENTS

  • 510 years marketing experience or 5 years direct brand experience (ie has worked with the brand, developed proficiencies, and can do required work)
  • Planning, forecasting, and budgeting skills
  • Analytical skills and ability to sort thru data to identify strategic opportunities and fixes
  • Excellent social skills and ability to motivate and collaborate with team members
  • Excellent proficiency in English (Both spoken and written).
