Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Head Chef
- Oversee all aspects of the CAFE kitchen production and food preparation process
- Create and develop new items that align with the cafe/restaurant's concept and target audience
- Manage food inventory and ensure proper stock levels
- Train and supervise cafe kitchen staff, including, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant/cafe management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and new culinary techniques
- Work closely with the General Manager to achieve goals and exceed targets.
- Along with the General Manager you are responsible for fostering and maintaining a positive, inclusive work culture.
Experience:
- Previous cafe/bakery experience in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of bakery/restaurant operations, including kitchen procedures, food handling, and safety protocols
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills:
- baking, breads, pastry, puff pastry
- Food industry knowledge and understanding of current culinary trends
- Leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff
- Restaurant management skills to oversee daily operations in the kitchen
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Experience supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food
- Strong attention to detail to maintain high standards of quality in food preparation and presentation
- Coaching and communication

Pay:
$23.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours:

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
