The Recycling Steward plays a pivotal role in the guest experience and waste management system in the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, The Steward will greet and assist guests with separating recyclable materials from waste streams at the various quick service outlets throughout the park.

Responsibilities include identifying, sorting, and preparing recyclable materials for processing, while ensuring an enhanced guest experience and furthering environmental sustainability efforts.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist guests with waste disposal.
  • Sort recyclable materials from waste.
  • Identify and remove nonrecyclable materials.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Communicate with team members to optimize efficiency.
  • Deliver amazing customer service.
  • Assist the F&B team to ensure the seating areas look neat and tidy, by straightening and tucking in chairs and wiping down tables.
  • Assist with other janitorial tasks as needed.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Amazing Attitude
  • Customer service experience an asset.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify different types of recyclable materials.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
