Solar Electric Draftsperson (Calgary, Edmonton or Kelowna) - Part-Time / Student

Are you a skilled student with a passion for sustainable energy and an eye for detail? SkyFire Energy is seeking a part-time Electrical Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in the solar industry.

This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in renewable energy while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule that accommodates your studies and work-life balance.

About You

Primary duties include:

Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using Sketchup.
Collaborate with our engineering team to design solar panel layouts for residential properties.
Understand and visualize how a house roof is designed to optimize solar panel placement.
Utilize predesigned templates and checklists to streamline the drafting process.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Familiarity with residential roof structures

Drawing experience using SketchUp
Some electrical drafting experience

Working towards a technician diploma or degree or similar training
