- Conduct detailed petrographic analysis of rock samples using microscopy and other analytical techniques.
- Identify and characterize minerals, textures, and other features present in the samples.
- Interpret petrographic data integration and modeling to understand the depositional environment, diagenetic history, and reservoir quality of the rocks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate petrographic findings into larger geological models and interpretations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing petrographic observations and interpretations.
- Stay abreast of developments in petrographic techniques, technologies, and methodologies.
- Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
- Ensure adherence to all AGAT health and safety policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in petrographic analysis.
- Strong knowledge of geological processes in sedimentary or hard rock petrography.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
