Marie, the Land Use Planner will report to the Senior Land Use Planner and will have a wide range of duties on a variety of land use planning projects.

What You'll Do:

The Land Use Planner will be part of the TULLOCH Engineering team with the primary focus of supporting various internal clients across all departments

You will:

Work on both large and small development projects throughout northern and central Ontario
Lead development proponents through the _Planning Act_ process
Add value to land through critical thinking and rigorous policy analysis
Work with municipalities on strategic planning policy projects
Undertake Official Plan review exercises and municipal needs analyses
Liaise with other professionals, municipalities, and government agencies
Build client relations

Who You Are:

You have 35 years experience working in a land use planning and development role, either in the private sector or at the municipal level.
You have working knowledge of the _Planning Act_, Provincial Policy Statement, municipal Official Plans and Zoning or Development Permit By-Laws.
Full Membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) is preferred. Eligibility for full membership with OPPI within 1 year is required at a minimum.
You have a Class "G" driver's license.
You are someone who makes decisions/exercises independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
Able to pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results
You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
Are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success
Strong ability in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
