Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations, the Project Manager is a key part of our commercial team and oversees the entire life cycle of a project, from estimating and bid preparation, through managing execution of the work to issuing certificates of substantial / total completion and billing.

Through a quality team, the Project Manager will be accountable for overall project performance including timelines, profitability and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and work plans.
  • Oversee and direct the work of subcontractors, vendors and other personnel.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement safety plans and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to the project plan.
  • Prepare progress reports and present them to upper management.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure it is organized and accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Requirements:

years of ICI construction project management, preferably in the areas of commercial aluminum and glass or other similar architectural products.


  • Completion of a postsecondary education program in Construction Management and the PMP an asset.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English, with the ability to undertake moderately complex technical correspondence and conversations, as well as to provide clear direction to project team members.
  • Ability to review and interpret contracts, ensuring any additional work outside of project scope is identified and billed appropriately.
  • Adept at multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fastpaced environment, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to always represent Northerm in a positive manner, maintaining a professional tone and approach to both verbal and written communications.
  • Integrity and accountability.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • A valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and a clean driver's abstract.
