Description

The Program Support Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of overnight Child and Youth Care Workers, ensuring that the needs of persons served and activities on the overnight are completed.

The Program Support Supervisor supports both the Dragonfly Program and the Resiliency Project Program.

This role supports all workers that are working on the overnight and the children youth and families that experience crisis or require support during the overnight hours.

This position will help you grow exceptional supervisory and leadership skills while working in a team environment.

Note: The shifts are 10 PM to 10 AM four days on four days off schedule. This is a combination of weekday/weekend shifts._


Major Job Responsibilities:


  • Ensures that all overnight activities are completed by the overnight Child and Youth Care Workers and report any concerns or issues to the applicable program manager.
  • Assists with any escalations or safety concerns of persons served.
  • Cover open shifts as needed.
  • Ensures the safety and well being of children and youth and families during overnight hours.
  • Develops positive relationships with workers and children and youth through the process of positive role modeling and mentoring.
  • Preventative steps to avoid children and youth influencing negative behaviours in others and encouraging appropriate discussions and behaviours.
  • Creating consistency of house rules, routines and consequences.
  • Utilizes best interests of the children and youth in all capacities.
  • Ensure that documentation is performed in a professional and clear manner.
  • Completes required administrative and reporting as assigned
  • Maintain a good understanding of CAC standards and Agency Policy and Procedures.
  • Attend program meetings, team meetings, supervisions, mandatory trainings and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in a Human Services field or certified as a Child and Youth Care Worker and a minimum of 2 years experience in group care services.

$66,560.00 per year
