SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Richmond School District operates 38 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, alternate programs, continuing education, and several additional facilities. The district enrolls approximately 21,000 students (K-12) and employs over 3000 dedicated staff.

We currently have part-time and full-time temporary positions and part-time continuing positions available on our School Psychologist team.

Provide collaborative consultation with teachers, parents, and community agencies, and at schoolbased team meetings
Provide ongoing collaborative planning for students and classrooms and assist with prereferral interventions
Provide individualized psychoeducational assessments (based on student need) for students referred through the schoolbased team process
Contribute to the development and progress monitoring of the IEP or Student Learning Plan
Provide inservice training around interventions, progress monitoring, data collection and/or assessment
Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
Assist school and district staff in providing additional "Pro D" support for educators and support staff

Qualifications
- a Master's degree in school/educational psychology (or related field)

Certified/eligible for certification with the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists and/or Registration with the College of Psychologists, with special training and supervision in school psychology
Teaching certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch an asset
