Richmond School District operates 38 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, alternate programs, continuing education, and several additional facilities. The district enrolls approximately 21,000 students (K-12) and employs over 3000 dedicated staff.


We currently have part-time and full-time temporary positions and part-time continuing positions available on our School Psychologist team.

  • Provide collaborative consultation with teachers, parents, and community agencies, and at schoolbased team meetings
  • Provide ongoing collaborative planning for students and classrooms and assist with prereferral interventions
  • Provide individualized psychoeducational assessments (based on student need) for students referred through the schoolbased team process
  • Contribute to the development and progress monitoring of the IEP or Student Learning Plan
  • Provide inservice training around interventions, progress monitoring, data collection and/or assessment
  • Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
  • Assist school and district staff in providing additional "Pro D" support for educators and support staff

Qualifications
- a Master's degree in school/educational psychology (or related field)

  • Certified/eligible for certification with the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists and/or Registration with the College of Psychologists, with special training and supervision in school psychology
  • Teaching certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch an asset
