- Give animals medications as appropriate to ensure health of the herd
- Clean, wash and disinfect pens after animals leave
- Receive piglets and count them with the transporters
- Write up reports regarding herd, equipment and buildings
- Help load animals
- Do maintenance on equipment and buildings to prevent deterioration
- Keep clean and in good condition the building interiors/exteriors and the farm in general
- Apply HACCP and OSH standards
- Apply supervisor's recommendations
- Be responsible for farm's alarms, or replace them
- All other related duties, as requested by supervisor

Reporting to the fattening supervisor, the hog farm worker manages the farm for which he/she is responsible so as to raise good quality hogs according to the procedures in place and the available technologies, while properly controlling production costs.
