Duties and Responsibilities:


With a minimum of supervision, the MBA Program Administrator reports to the Associate Dean, Professional Graduate Programs, and is supervised by the Team Lead, Professional Graduate Programs.

This individual is responsible for the administration of academic affairs for the full-time, Weekday MBA program delivered in Ottawa as well as the Online MBA.


The MBA Program Administrator, working in consultation with the Team Lead and the Associate Dean, is also responsible forstudent oversight in the Weekday and Online MBA from registration through to graduation.

This includes providing advice to individual students, monitoring their academic progress, implementing and tracking student success initiatives, and making recommendations for programmatic changes based on student feedback and external research.


In addition, the MBA Program Administrator prepares documentation and drafts correspondence for current students enrolled in the Weekday and Online MBA.


Qualifications:


The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

  • Able to work independently
  • Capable of relating to a diverse student body drawn from a broad range of cultures and backgrounds
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, an understanding of graduate administrative procedures, and the ability to multitask
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and remain current on the many policies outlined in the Graduate Calendar
  • Superior organizational, problemsolving, and communication skills.

Education and Experience:


The above is normally acquired through:

  • Four years of relevant work experience in a post-secondary institution with demonstrated experience in graduate academic support services (or equivalent) and timetabling, including experience with Banner and MS Office.
