Quails' Gate Winery, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Vineyard Equipment Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

This position is crucial to the success of our sustainable vineyard program, and we are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and is passionate about contributing to the growth of our winery.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license required; Class 1 with air brake endorsement preferred (clean driver abstract required).
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment experience, preferably with farm equipment.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Automotive repair and maintenance experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds repeatedly.
• Pesticide certificate preferred.
• First Aid certificate is an asset.
• Equipment Operator ticket is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Independently operate and train others on tasks involving overtherow equipment with multirow implements.
• Operate various vineyard equipment, including tractors, forklifts, bobcats, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders.
• Assist in various maintenance tasks such as trellis repair, hoeing, drainage repair, erosion control, and irrigation repair.
• Adhere to safe operating procedures and support safety programs/policies.
• Play a key role during harvest, including hauling, equipment operation, and assisting in fieldwork.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers to maintain the highest quality standards.

Wage:

$23 - $30 per hour based on qualifications and experience
