Job Summary:

To conduct, with minimum supervision, chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products in accordance with current compendial and in-house procedures to meet domestic and foreign regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Chemical testing of raw materials and finished products using specific spectroscopic techniques such as GC, HPLC, UV, IR, AA, and ICP
Assist in the calibration of equipment used in the Chemistry Laboratory
Prepare, with proper documentation, of all volumetric and test solutions used in the chemistry laboratory
Ensure proper disposal of all chemical wastes
Assist in the investigation of Out-OfSpecification test results and root cause assessment
Assist in the training and/or crosstraining of newly employed or less experienced chemists
Assist in the ordering and maintenance of the laboratory's supplies such as reagents, solvents, and standards.
Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or degree in the scientific field or equivalent
Work Experience, 3 years or more into similar industry & profile
Knowledge of basic chemical concepts such as mass and concentration
Proven ability to work in a safe manner and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Competency in clearly and fluently expressing concepts and ideas in English, orally and in writing
Ability to work as a member of a team and under minimum supervision
Ability to prepare, interpret and generate routine test reports in a timely manner and in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines to meet datelines
