Job Summary:
To conduct, with minimum supervision, chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products in accordance with current compendial and in-house procedures to meet domestic and foreign regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chemical testing of raw materials and finished products using specific spectroscopic techniques such as GC, HPLC, UV, IR, AA, and ICP
- Assist in the calibration of equipment used in the Chemistry Laboratory
- Prepare, with proper documentation, of all volumetric and test solutions used in the chemistry laboratory
- Ensure proper disposal of all chemical wastes
- Assist in the investigation of Out-OfSpecification test results and root cause assessment
- Assist in the training and/or crosstraining of newly employed or less experienced chemists
- Assist in the ordering and maintenance of the laboratory's supplies such as reagents, solvents, and standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in the scientific field or equivalent
- Work Experience, 3 years or more into similar industry & profile
- Knowledge of basic chemical concepts such as mass and concentration
- Proven ability to work in a safe manner and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Competency in clearly and fluently expressing concepts and ideas in English, orally and in writing
- Ability to work as a member of a team and under minimum supervision
- Ability to prepare, interpret and generate routine test reports in a timely manner and in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines to meet datelines
