Shipper Receiver

LOCATION:
Chilliwack

STARTING WAGE:
$22.88/hr

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for effective and efficient management of inventory (packaging and ingredients) within the warehouse/shipping area in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.

This includes maintaining a high standard of sanitation and organization in the warehouse; picking product to assist the production process; preparing product for shipping; other miscellaneous tasks and projects to support the team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate loading/unloading equipment and vehicles (pallet jacks, forklifts, narrow aisle reach truck, shrinkwrap machine).
Organize storage and warehouse area (raw materials, finished goods, Kosher certified ingredients, allergens, etc.).
Accurately and efficiently handle materials (raw materials, packaging, and finished goods) and distribute them to appropriate production locations as needed.
Carry out a sanitation program to ensure food safety requirements for all warehouse areas including freezer, coolers and storage areas.
Follow departmental policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
Maintain company policies and work safely with coworkers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Narrow Aisle Reach Truck and Forklift certification and experience is mandatory

The ability to work independently but also be a team player
Good oral and written communication skills in English
Cultural sensitivity
Physical ability to lift greater than 40lbs
Demonstrates organization skills, a good eye for detail, ability to complete documentation, and skills that will result in a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the warehouse area
Sanitation and chemical handling experience is also an asset.
