We area a medium sized not for profit seniors care organization operated by the Salem Manor Society in Leduc Alberta.

We provide care to residents and housing for independent living. We have a well establishe and experienced office administration team and we are seeking a Controller to join us. General Accounting is required and reporting to Goverment utilizing a system provided by AHS. Experience in transitioning to a new accounting system is an asset along with CPA/CMA certificiation. In the absence of the certification, we require at a minimum, traing and experience, in accountiing systems. Experince in payroll an asset.

Responsibilities:

Set up electronic healthcare records system confirguration for billing, including chart of accounts, charge codes, banking and trust configuration.
Generate monty billing.
Export journals from electronic healthcare records system to general ledger
Manage and reconcile accounts.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and implement internal controls to protect company assets.
Prepare budgets and forecasts.
Provide financial guidance to management.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Accounts payable and recievable oversight with support from office team
