Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Food Prep Clerk/Cashier at our C-Store and Gas Bar location in La Ronge, SK.

Reporting to the La Ronge C-Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Engage and interact with guests to create a positive shopping experience- in person, on the telephone and at the point of sale
• Preparing store-made products according to established recipes and developing /costing new recipes
• Ordering, receiving, and pricing merchandise
• Completing production and maintenance records
• Following all applicable food safety and labelling regulations
• Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory; Follow FIFO
• Maintaining a clean, safe food preparation environment at all times
• Running reports and identifying market trends
• Operation of the point of sale and back-office system
• Assisting in all other areas of the store as required

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
• You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
• You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
• You are familiar with food safe procedures and practices; Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent would be considered an asset
• Ability to lift and load products; extensive physical labour is required
• You can work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
• You have a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
