My Client is looking for a strategic CPA that wants to learn and grow with the business. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to lead our financial operations and contribute to the strategic decision-making process.
Job Description:
As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including but not limited to:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business objectives.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow, monitor banking activities, and optimize liquidity.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, profitability analysis, and other financial assessments to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with tax regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to foster professional development and ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Manage Acquisitions of new strategic business opportunities aligned with the company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles.
- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in GAAP.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Experience in manufacturing or similar industry is an asset.
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions
Pay:
$135,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
