Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Student Services Manager is responsible for all administrative elements of our students' experiences (including immigration counseling) to ensure fast and accurate service to students and agents.
Key Job Responsibilities- Serve as the main contact between KI's centralized customer service and the school- Work with faculty and school/ center staff to ensure highest level of student satisfaction- Ensure profitability of school and programs in conjunction with School Director- Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) or Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) as applicable; stay abreast of and advise current and prospective students on visa and immigration matters and perform SEVIS-related data entry and training- Assist in keeping the school compliant with state, national, and organizational standards- Participate in national initiatives and communicate feedback to national team; develop and solidify relationships with agencies locally and world-wide- Train and supervise staff on effective methods of counseling and advising prospective students about KI products and offerings; collect lead information and take a lead in conversion efforts- Domestic marketing activities, including community outreach promoting events and activities, phone calls, and other tasks- Managing Domestic sales team at school- Advise new and current students on courses and services- Pro-actively seek out new partners and vendors within the community, including post-secondary institutions, vendors, host families, residences, etc.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent- Management experience; 1+ years' experience managing full-time staff- 3+ years in a business setting- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent problem solving and creative thinking skills- Ability to deliver on detail-oriented processes- Proven customer service skills, ideally with a diverse population- Tact, patience and diplomacy, particularly with non-native English speakers- Need for cultural sensitivities and/or a desire to work in a diverse environment- High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment- US Citizen or Canada Landed Permanent Resident (mandatory for P/ DSO)- Must be authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications- One or more foreign language ability- Prior experience with international students
