ROLE PURPOSE
The Junior Communications Coordinator will play a key supporting role in maintaining and enhancing Connective's brand identity.

This role requires someone who is flexible and collaborative and would be ideal for a recent grad in Communications or a related field, who is passionate about working for an impact-focused nonprofit organization.

The Junior Communications Coordinator will lead the organization's social media presence, curate captivating content, analyze data to uncover insights, and work with other teams to identify new opportunities and support the implementation of communication plans.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create content that aligns with Connective's voice and tone for a variety of channels and formats
  • Curate social media posts and manage platforms
  • Compile departmental statistics and data as required
  • Support with implementing communications plans
  • Work closely with programs to help identify communications opportunities
  • Support with creating and disseminating surveys
  • Create and update lists of key contacts in new communities
  • Conduct research for blog posts
  • Support the activities of the Communications team as required
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • A degree or diploma in Communications or a related field. A combination of work experience and education may be considered.
  • Up to date knowledge of the changing world of social media & marketing
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector would be an asset
  • Familiarity developing marketing and communications strategies
  • Familiarity with Canva and basic design principles
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, flexible and collaborative
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset

COMPENSATION
Annual Salary will start at $45,800 up to $62,900 yearly based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package.
