We have an immediate opening for a
Research Intern. This position is available in
Calgary, AB.

How we plan on keeping you busy:

Contribute to the development and optimization of our mRNA drug substance manufacturing processes.
Contribute to the development of new formulations for mRNA delivery.
Consolidate, interpret, and present data, and support the preparation of technical reports.
Maintain good laboratory practices.
Work as part of a team to meet deliverables on time.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, as required.

What will help you get here:

Experience working in a biology, biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or chemistry laboratory environment.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstration of soft skills including collaboration, influencing, and facilitation.
Experience with some of the typical biologics manufacturing unit operations including microbial or animal cell cultivation, bioreactors, mRNA _in vitro_ translation and other enzymatic reactions, bioreactors, chromatography, hollow fiber and tangentialflow filtration, singleuse systems, etc.
Experience with some of the typical research methodologies used for mRNA vaccine development including highperformance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, dotblot, Western blotting, _in vitro_ translation, ELISA, qPCR, cellbased assays, etc.
Understanding of GLP/GMP.
