    Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the Operator's responsibility will be to operate the equipment ensuring safety and reliability. This position works collaboratively with, Health and Safety, Maintenance, Administration, Operational Support, Engineering, and Marketing.

    What You Get To Do:

  • Monitor process equipment to ensure it is functional/within design limitations and safe operating conditions are constantly maintained
  • Complete operator rounds to monitor, record and adjust equipment to maintain operation conditions within safe operating limits ensure process safety
  • Maintain operating equipment in the condition to deliver full design duty, and is ready to run when required for operation.
  • Perform plant maintenance duties such as belt changes, filter changes, PSV removal and install etc.
  • Constantly monitors and is alert to locating corrosion, gas leaks, freeze offs, hydrates and any other abnormalities and provides the necessary follow-up.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards of all facilities
  • Troubleshoot poor performance of facility processes and advise supervision of concerns
  • Accountable to follow Operating Procedures and guidelines while carrying out routine operating activities to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Responsible for managing contractors including, orientations, safe work agreements, work site audits, etc.
  • Maintain familiarity with site Specific Emergency Response Plan, Site Environmental requirements, Pressure Equipment Integrity program, AER requirements and other codes and regulations that govern our business
  • Comply with ATCO Quality Management Systems.
  • Provide input into the Engineering and Maintenance program.
  • Inspects, operates, services and maintains plant, well and well-head measurement and regulating equipment, and any other duties related to measuring and regulating equipment as required.
  • Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or
  • + years of experience working in a plant, well and gathering system environment.
  • Must have a valid Alberta Class '' driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory codes and practices.
  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
  • This position is located at a hour days a week plant with rotating shifts.
