We are looking for an experienced
Corporate Controller to join our team at Attridge Transportation. The position will be based out of our Halton Headquarters Harvester Road, Burlington, ON)

As a member of the Attridge Transportation team the Corporate Controller is ultimately responsible for:

  • Overseeing all accounting functions for the company and its operations
  • Ensuring timely, accurate, and informative consolidated financial reporting for all internal and external purposes
  • Streamlining accounting and financial operations, and;
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and training to our accounting team to ensure a high level of performance.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Daytoday supervision of accounting staff completing AR, AP and payroll functions
  • Create and submit complex invoices to key customers
  • Responsible for all aspects of the General Ledger, review all monthly journal entries and ensure all necessary documentation is to support journal entries and general ledger balances
  • Ensure timely closing on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Manage Intercompany and related parties accounts reconciliation
  • Liaison with corporate auditors for financial statement information and preparation
  • Manage government remittance obligations
  • Assist with annual budgets and forecasting
  • Assist with preparation of creditor reporting requirements
  • Comply with all government reporting requirements and filings
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Participate or lead projects with to improve business process as required
  • Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
  • Report relevant team issues, incidents and achievements to the President and/or Vice President to ensure awareness of progress to plan, and identify areas/issues requiring resolution
  • Participate in team activities, including actively participating in the Performance Development and Review program to ensure individual and team key targets are achieved.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
  • University or college degree in Finance/Accounting or Business
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal skills as well as good ability communicate ideas and data, show initiative, and achieve results in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple files, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency/exposure to SAGE 300 is an important asset

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$74,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
