Located in the City of Oshawa, Bloom Retirement Community is looking for a full time Server, with kitchen experience (considered an asset) to fill permanent full time positions.

All services in the organization are designed to meet the needs and well-being of their residents. We are looking for a dynamic individual to come and be part of our Community in order to make a positive impact in our residents' lives


Specifically, your daily life with us will look like:


  • Greeting the residents with a smile into the dining room
  • Delivering meals to the tables while providing personalized service
  • Working as a unit along with the kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork and a smooth service
  • Manage guests' reservations while ensuring their comfort
  • Ensure dining room appearance meets established standards including tables set with appropriate place settings for meals, and wait stations tidy and containing appropriate supplies
  • Clear tables, load and safely operate dishwasher as needed. Complete manual ware washing as required
  • Contribute to the team environment as a member of the Food and Beverage department, working towards departmental goals and priorities
  • Communicates with the Care department if there is a noted change in the nutritional status of a resident (i.e. changes in appetite)
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • You have at least one year of experience with serving f
  • Smart Serve a plus
  • Food Handler a plus
  • Strong English communication skills
