Britannia Brewing is a local brewery, taphouse + eatery with a focus on craft beer and modern west coast cuisine.
We are a newer 90 seat location in the heart of Ladner Village and are looking for a talented, motivated Chef to help build our team.

Britannia Brewing Ladner is recruiting for a head Chef.
We are currently looking for a talented and highly motivated Chef to help build our team.
As the Head Chef of Britannia Brewing Ladner, you will be responsible for the management of all daily kitchen activities.
You will be responsible for leading, engaging and motivating your culinary team to ensure all standards are met, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading daily preparation activities
- Accountable for all key financial metrics relating to kitchen operations including food and labour cost (including scheduling)
- Maintaining kitchen inventory ordering and receiving of all product
- Supporting in the hiring and training of all kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all staff, in compliance to all local and provincial health guidelines
- Promoting teamwork through effective feedback and communication
- Maintaining a high level of food quality in accordance to company standards and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintaining positive vendor relations
Working Conditions
- Hours and shifts may vary according to business levels. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and Holidays is required.
- Work is performed in a fastpast kitchen environment and will include office duties
Requirements:
- 3+ years of management experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Food Safe Level
- Experience in menu development (in either a key or supporting capacity)
- Experience in leading and supporting a team
- Strong communication skills
- Detailoriented
- Proven costing and inventory methods
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment
- Creativity and confidence in creating daily features as needed
- Overall passion for the restaurant industry, a love for food, and a desire to engage with and impact guests (passion for craft beer is a bonus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Salary:
$60,000.00-$79,000.00 per year
