Land Lease Maintenance - Trenton, Canada - CAPREIT

:Reports To:
Community Manager/Operations Manager
Summary:
The Land Lease Maintenance staff will work closely with the Community Manager to ensure that work orders are completed, and all common ground areas are maintained and kept clean.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all work orders as required by the Operations Manager and or Community Manager.
- Communicate work orders that cannot be completed by maintenance staff to the Community Manager.
- Perform grass cutting, pruning trees, whipper snipping and clearing catch basins and culverts.
- Pickup yard waste including waste that tenants have set out and place them at the compost area.
- General maintenance and repair of roads including patching potholes when required, sweeping and meeting with contractors.
- Perform general maintenance tasks and daily duties.
- Assist with, set up, general repairs and maintenance of Capreit owned homes.
- Distribute notices and letters to tenants as required.
- Organizing and liaising with contractors.
- Request material for the items required for work orders.
- Take water samples for testing (where applicable).
- Take weekly chlorine residual samples for testing (where applicable).
- Assist with other duties as required.
Maintenance of Site:
- Repair and maintenance of common areas.
- General grounds keeping including mowing, pruning, whipper snipping, and clearing catch basins.
- Cleaning of vacant lots.
- Salting, sanding and snow removal (where applicable).
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- General Carpentry, Plumbing or Mechanical background.
- Organized and able to handle multiple projects.
- Patience and diplomacy.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- On call for after hour emergencies.
