Role purpose:


Reporting and Performance Analyst has 2 major responsibilities: To lead the KGR financial processes, and to lead the local reporting requirements including monthly performance reporting and the development and maintenance of relevant dashboards and reports.

This position participates in multiple large projects and initiatives that provide integral information to various stakeholders including senior management.


Key Accountabilities

Financial Processes:


  • Support the KGR requirements for implementation and maintenance of ERP financial modules.
  • Working with key stakeholders, ensure completeness and accuracy of financial processes in relation to KGR results.
  • Complete any financial reporting requirements, in conjunction with the Director, including but not limited to, financial and performance commentary in relation to KGR results.
  • Assist in the yearly budget construction.
  • Support other local financial requirements as required.

Data Gathering and Analysis:


  • Work with internal key stakeholders to identify, gather and develop analytical tools to measure and report key performance information, aligned with internal and contractual business requirements.
  • Support and train internal key stakeholders of key performance indicators, as per business and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate internal and external business intelligence gathering, and maintain database systems.
  • Interpret data, analyse results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure the integrity of data, including data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation and analysis.
  • Identify KPI related problems and trends and report to internal stakeholders.

Dashboard Development and Reporting:


  • Develop and implement databases, data collections systems, data analytics and other strategies to measure, monitor and report Keolis' KPIs.
  • Ensure automated processes capture, monitor and report performance data to meet contractual requirements.
  • Develop accurate graphs, reports, dashboards and presentations to summarize complex data in a concise and clear manner.
  • Monitor and review the performance of both internal and contractual target.
  • Support the content and key stakeholders with proactive reporting to feed decision making and assist with continuous improvement.
  • Accurately review and compile the Monthly Business report, Monthly Performance Report and Monthly Management Report to the respective party, in a timely manner.

Administration & Other

  • Participate in professional development as required.
  • Strong knowledge of the governing contracts (PA, OM&R, IA); ability to provide guidance and interpretation regarding the performance requirements
  • Ensure compliance of reports and dashboards to contractual requirements
  • Assist in the development of Financial policies, procedures and standards that lead to effective analysis and reporting
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures and standards that lead to effective analysis and reporting of KPIs
  • Participate as a functional Database and Dashboard expert in system upgrades, including testing and training project teams
  • Act as a Dashboard expert for any internal and external audits
  • Other tasks as assigned

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience related to financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with basic operational accounting practices including financial reporting, AP and AR.
  • Experience with ERP systems with a focus on financial modules.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Tableau across multiple business systems.
  • Experience gathering and analysing system requirements.
  • Experience in interpreting and reporting results as well as making recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data mining and data modeling.
  • Experience writing technical reports.
  • Experience in public transport industry an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree in Business Management, Mathematics, Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, interpret and disseminate significant amounts of information clearly and accurately.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Extensive knowledge of data visualization tools, Tableau an asset.
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including presentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations as required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use computer and peripherals.
