The ideal General Manager is an excellent communicator with strong motivational and supervisory skills. As a General Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee the entire restaurant operations to ensure the adherence to East Side Mario's standards and to deliver outstanding guest service

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for restaurant financials and recommendations of action plans towards the achievement of budget
Ensure completion of accurate and timely periodic financial statements for restaurant in conjunction with the corporate accountant
Oversee the ongoing development of the Management team (including ongoing feedback/coaching, and Performance Reviews)
Encourage and perpetuate East Side Mario's culture through effective leadership
Oversee the execution of national marketing initiatives
Ensure restaurant adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper and safe food and beverage service, AGCO, Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 35 years supervisory/management experience working in a highvolume casual dining restaurant
Postsecondary education, preferably in hospitality and/or business related field
Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs
Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage
Excellent understanding of the casual dining industry
Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct others
