Role Description

This is a
part time leading to a
full-time on-site role for a
Medical Office Assistant at Genesis Walk-In and Family Clinic located in Georgetown, ON.

The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks such as
answering phones,
scheduling appointments, verifying medical coverage, and providing
assistance to the doctors as well as the healthcare team.

The Medical Office Assistant will also support the clinic in ensuring a
positive patient experience.


Qualifications

• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Experience in appointment scheduling
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy and knowledge of electronic health records systems
• Experience working in a medical office or related field is an asset
• Completion of Medical Office Administration or related diploma/certificate is an asset

Minimum two (2) year experience in a medical office setting as well as experience in assisting with minor procedures.

Oscar EMR knowledge is an asset.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Halton Hills, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- community clinic: 2 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
