  • Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Erect and install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment
  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials
  • Attach cables from a crane or derrick and direct crane operators with hand signals or radios
  • Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts
  • Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures
  • Ensuring safe work practices, EH&S processes, and OH&S compliance are followed on site
  • Desired Skills and Experience:
  • To be considered for this position you must be a registered Journeyman in the trade of Ironworker
  • Structural
  • Experience on major industrial project sites
  • A positive attitude towards safety is expected and imperative
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • 3M Full Face Respirator Training
  • Strong understanding in Blueprint reading and team work
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • CSTS09, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection, EWP
