Demand Planner - Toronto, Canada - TOC Logistics

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend weekly, biweekly or monthly business unit meetings to support their demand when required and provide them information from supply chain (i.e. delays and reasons)
- Schedule weekly, biweekly or monthly forecast meetings with Business Units and supply chain as required
- Analyze statistical data, inventory levels, shipping timelines and generate forecasts to meet anticipated demand and long term forecasts up to three years (major equipment)
- Coordinating with buyers (buyers with vendors) to ensure we have materials available when needed
- Assist in the allocation of short materials in conjunction with Business Units and Supply Chain leaders
- Preparing weekly reports for Business Units with ETA's of all materials (focus on past due materials).
- Provide forecast updates to Management, Supply chain leadership and Business Units on a regular basis
- Report on important changes in forecasts
- Ability to analyse and prepare reports for crossfunction stakeholders and executive leadership
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- University undergraduate degree in a businessrelated discipline
- Professional Designation or Certification in Supply Chain Management an asset
- Minimum of 35 years of enterprise level experience in Materials Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement
- Experience with ERP Software (SAP preferred)
- Full proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Valid drivers license and access to vehicle for travel between customer offices within City of Toronto
- Utility or regulated industry experience an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Strong decision making, complex problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple business units demands, respond to changing priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to effectively manage constraints and competing priorities
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
