BGC of Central Vancouver Island (BGCCVI) is a registered non-profit and charitable organization serving over 1000 children, youth, and families in Central Vancouver Island area through enriching programs in 14 locations.

  • Wage starting at $18.39/hour (plus $4 ECE wage enhancement for licensed ECE)

Program Leader:


  • Assists with developing fun and engaging programs and activities for kids aged 512 years in Out of School Care or in fullday care when school is not in session.
  • Provide active supervision of children, and ensures their health, safety, and wellness.
  • May participate in the development of individual care plans for participants as needed.
  • Encourages and facilitates the participation of individuals in the program by creating a safe and fun atmosphere in which children can interact.
  • Maintains appropriate records and statistics and ensures that all required documentation is accurate and complete (e.g., incident reports, daily log sheets, attendances, etc.).
  • Adheres to BGCCVI Policies and Procedures, Community Care and Licensing Regulations, and other requirements and general safety standards.
  • Ensures that the facility is always safe and clean.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check to work with vulnerable population (must be at least 19 years of age)

Nice to Haves

  • Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR-C (or willingness to obtain within first 3 months of employment for fulltime employees)
  • Class 4 Driver's license would be considered an asset (or willingness to obtain)

Part-time hours: 0-30 per week
