About The Role:


Reporting to the Operations Manager, Service, the Service Manager, Electrical is responsible for executing personal work and managing the activities of a team of qualified Service Technicians.

The Service Manager, Electrical takes ownership of the quality of work throughout the team, developing the technical capabilities of the team, scheduling of technicians, customer communication, team safety, customer experience, and vendor relationships to ensure a high level of team performance.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise a team of X qualified Electrical Technicians, scheduling work assignments for both Service Calls and planned Projects based on customer needs;
  • Formally manage the team, taking the lead on resource planning and hiring new team members, creating and driving training and development opportunities, and managing the annual employee review process for your team;
  • Act as a senior technical resource to the team, providing expertise in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and planning. In addition, supporting onsite team members with sourcing parts, supplies and specialized tools where necessary;
  • Partner with Business Development to meet new customers and evaluate needs. Quote, plan, source materials for, and manage small projects from start to finish;
  • Liaise with existing customers to schedule preventative maintenance, repairs, or small project work;
  • Identify potential new business opportunities;
  • Maintain open and positive communication with employees, departments, customers, and vendors;
  • Maintain high quality service delivery in an efficient, productive and profitable manner.

What You Bring:

Our Must Haves

  • Successfully obtained your Red Seal Electrician certification;
  • Successfully obtained your FSR certification;
  • Formal experience managing a team up to 10 (at least 4) technicians;
  • Working knowledge of VFDs and PLCs;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract;
  • Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing clients;
  • Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problemsolving capabilities;
  • Experience working in Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Heavy Industrial will be considered an asset.
