    Job Description

    Develop strategies and customer specific programs designed to achieve, and exceed, annual sales and profit targets with designated accounts. Take on a key leadership role as a cross-functional business leader and regional sales manager responsible for the recruitment, training and development of a direct report sales team.

    Responsibilities

    Achieve sales and profit targets with designated accounts (70%)

  • Formulate strategies and programs into customer-specific plans with accurate and ongoing market analyses, as well as short and long-term goals for all channels and markets. Each customer plan is designed to position Moen as the market leader driving revenue, share and profitability growth for the customer and organization.
  • Achieve annual sales targets with product and promotional forecasts.
  • Negotiate customer programs and investments, holding the customer accountable to performance while delivering against Moen profit and sales expectations.
  • Develop key account relationships, working with all levels of the customer's organization to understand challenges and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop strategies and programs to meet specific needs while keeping the company focused on profitable sales growth.
  • Manage expense budget and use funds judiciously to maintain and increase profitable sales within designated accounts.
  • People leadership (30%)

  • Leads a sales team to implement and execute sales plans and programs
  • Maintain and grow a highly engaged, best-in-class, field sales team by employing best practices in recruiting, development and performance
  • Develop direct reports and self by establishing professional development goals; continuously evaluate progress through work withs and performance feedback.
  • Responsible for optimizing market coverage and communicating account strategies and programs to direct reports.
  • Monitor and communicate market intelligence such as business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics.
  • Organize and chair sales meetings.
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in sales, marketing, business or commensurate experience
  • Strong coaching and development skills with a minimum 3-5 years of direct report responsibilities along with experience in managing teams and work groups
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on creating customer programs that deliver against key Moen metrics while simultaneously providing a customer win
  • Demonstrate strategic and strong problem-solution thinking in pursuit of growing Moen market share, profitability and topline sales
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong business and financial acumen combined with broad business perspective, proven ability to manage and measure work and drive for results
  • Must possess excellent presentation, planning and analytical skills, in addition to written and oral communications
  • A positive self-starter and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work non-standard hours occasionally (weekends and evenings)
