Department Overview

  • The Business Analysis team at CTO (Corporate Transformation & Operations) consists of Business Analysis (BA) professionals who lead and support feasibility assessments of defined solutions to ensure they meet business objectives. The team collaborates with stakeholders to elicit, define, analyze, and communicate requirements.
  • Practice Leadership
  • Assist with executive reporting and dashboard
  • Brainstorm, collaborate and work cohesively with colleagues to identify high quality practice updates
  • Communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships across BRT team
  • Define and implement BR roadmap to build, develop and mature business analysis team
  • Define standards of tools adoption that can facilitate BR deliverables (e.g., JTMF, Confluence, templates, kickoff decks, etc.)
  • Develop and grow the knowledge repository and encourage knowledge sharing
  • Ensure continuous improvement, continuous betterment of the Practice is maintained
  • Establish and publish standards to report overall BR portfolio health with coverage to align with partner and CTO goals.
  • Establish baseline practice maturity scores for BA practitioners.
  • Identify/refine Business Analysis competency model aligned with CTO goals and objectives
  • Integrate learnings/findings into a Practice backlog and help plan future practice releases.
  • Oversee transformation/change activities and deliverables aligned to the practice updates and maturity strategy.
  • Refine and reenforce the internal quality control processes to assess and improve deliverable quality
  • Standardize internal BR business analysis processes to maintain consistency across the team.
  • Standardize service level standards for resources allocation to projects to projects as a foundation for SLAs.
  • Continuously stay abreast of current Practice related trends across TD and in the industry.

Job Requirements

  • Have
    a minimum of 10 years of portfolio/program/project Business Analysis experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • Have a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, developing people and teams
  • Experience in agile delivery methodology in addition to waterfall and iterative an asset
  • Ability to succeed in an environment involving multiple stakeholders through strong influencing and relationship building skills, with a professional approach and collaborative mindset
  • Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical thinking abilities
  • Outstanding critical judgment and problemsolving skills
  • University degree in business, finance or related discipline
  • Business Analysis accreditation an asset
