Overview
- Reporting into the Cost Accounting Manager, the Cost Accounting Associate Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with contacts at manufacturing plants to ensure accurate reporting of cost of sales, booking of banking entries and clearing bank reconciling items as well as timely close processes. They will also be responsible for coordinating with multiple business partners to ensure inventory is accurately reported on the financial statements.

Responsibilities- Completing weekly and periodic close processes including journal entries and reconciliations through collaboration with plant contacts- Manufacturing and purchasing price variance analysis- Ensuring that cost accounting reporting and planning systems are efficiently and effectively utilized- Assisting Accounts Payable to ensure all costs are captured and payments completed in a timely manner- Ad hoc requests
Qualifications Solid understanding of accounting and financial systems and processes- Strong analytical skills- Excellent computer skills (especially Excel); experience with Oracle or SAP is an asset- Strong communicator and team player- Ability to take ownership of processes and meet deadlines under time constraints
