Responsibilities:
- The Superintendent reports to the Package Manager and is responsible to:
- Develop weekly work plans, including craft labor and resource allocations, safety and
- performance and productivity
- Daily supervision and coordination of the directhire workers and subtrades/subcontractors
- Develop nonmanual and craft staffing plans which support the schedule
- Ensure that all direct hire work, including supporting work (or subcontracted), is
- Establish and ensure compliance with project procedures necessary to perform
order to be able to safely perform job tasks.- Work with the Package Manager to ensure proper jurisdiction on craft assignments
- Monitor schedule, manpower needs and budgets through weekly meetings
- Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the project.
- Ensure adequate equipment and tooling is on site to perform all work tasks in an
- Manage planning of temporary works.
- Overall responsibility for craft safety, quality and productivity
- Ensure adequate construction utilities and facilities are available to support work.
- Generate Field Material Requisitions (FMRs) for consumables, tools and other nonpermanent plant material and equipment.
- Coordinate subcontract activities.
- Coordinate with the Construction Coordinators
- Complete punch list/ deficiency items
- Provide resolution to project issues as they arise and communicate project issues in a
- errors / discrepancies / omissions in Consultant's design drawings, project deficiencies
- list, poor workmanship quality, etc.).
- Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Package Manager
