- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in nursing.
- Completion of an accredited educational program for Nurse Practitioners in Primary Health Care.
- Certification as a registered nurse practitioner in a province or territory of Canada.
- English Essential
- Experience in working with a broad range of medical conditions and disabilities as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary collaborative practice environment.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: ambulatory care, acute care, community health care or health education.
- Ability to operate independently within the scope of nurse practitioner practice.
- Ability to counsel patients and consult with other health care professionals.
