- Experience coordinating directly with construction contractors.
- Experience working on multi‑disciplinary projects involving survey, environmental, and engineering teams.

Civil Engineer - Edmonton - Integrated Geomatics
Description
Integrated Geomatics Inc. has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our growing team based out of Calgary, Grande Prairie, or Edmonton, Alberta. We are seeking a professional with strong experience in culvert, arch, and hydrotechnical design to support oil and gas infrastructure projects across Alberta and Western Canada. This role is focused primarily on the hydraulic and hydrotechnical design of culverts, arch structures, and stream crossings associated with access roads, well sites, pipelines, and facility developments, with limited exposure to short-span bridge crossings where applicable.
Our firm provides integrated survey, environmental, and engineering services, allowing projects to be delivered efficiently from field data collection through to detailed design and construction support. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening internal technical capability while working closely with internal teams and directly with clients to deliver designs that meet construction, schedule, and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the hydrotechnical and hydraulic design of:
Perform hydrotechnical analyses, including:
Work closely with internal survey and environmental professionals to:
Engage directly with clients, construction teams, and project stakeholders to:
Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, and technical memoranda.
Support regulatory submissions and approvals.
Provide construction‑phase support, including responses to RFIs, field changes, and design clarifications.
Assist in developing internal standards, tools, and workflows for culvert, arch, and hydrotechnical design in industrial applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, or eligibility for registration.
3+ years of experience in culvert, arch, and/or hydrotechnical design.
Experience supporting oil and gas, industrial, or resource‑sector infrastructure projects.
Strong background in:
Working knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines, such as:
Experience with hydrotechnical and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC RAS, HEC HMS, SWMM, CulvertMaster, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of constructability and field‑driven design.
Clear technical writing and client‑facing communication skills.
