Last Mile Dispatcher - Temporary (16 month contract)

What You'll Be Doing:

Receive and coordinate completion of customer job orders;
Assign trucks to specific jobs within oilfield locations;
Review deliveries to ensure trucks arrive at delivery location in a timely manner;
Communicate with drivers, dispatcher(s), transload staff, field personnel and supervisors throughout the shift and at shift change for current status and issues;
Manage relationship with third party suppliers and vendors to monitor loading and delivery;
Working a 12 hour shift rotation on a 4 days on and 4 days off schedule
This role reports to the Manager of Last Mile Logistics

Who We're Looking For:

3+ years of previous experience working in a dispatching and/or logistics environment with oilfield experience preferred;
Effective written and verbal communication skills;
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail;
Ability to work in a fastpaced atmosphere under pressure;
Excellent multitasking and organizational skills;
Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently in an environment where priorities change quickly; and
Exceptional customer service skills with focus on positive client experience.

We are looking for individuals with a hardworking attitude, who have working knowledge of the trucking and logistics industry. Individuals must be self-motivated and adaptable to change.

Other things that will help you succeed in this role include:

Provincial and Federal laws, procedures, standards and other requirements are complied with by carriers during the performance of their duties;
Maintain current knowledge of compliance requirements for the carriers including Hours of Service and Driver Log Requirements.
