Job Purpose

The role of Grain Origination Associate involves selling directly to consumers or businesses, either directly or through various sales channels. Your main tasks will include reaching out to potential customers, establishing relationships to drive future sales, and contributing to assessing customer needs and recommending suitable products and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in identifying, developing, and closing new sales under supervision.
• Support business growth by promoting the organization and its offerings positively.
• Track customer and competitor activities and industry trends.
• Coordinate market research, pricing, sales, and merchandising activities with oversight.
• Engage in regular meetings with customers' senior management to understand and address their requirements.
• Address basic issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel.
• Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Keen interest in the agricultural sector.
• Hold a valid Canadian driver's license allowing independent driving during employment.
• Legally eligible to work for Cargill in Canada.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make independent decisions.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence decision-making.
• Background in the grain industry.
