As a
Associate, Institutional Management, you contribute to the overall success of the Institutional Management Department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


This is an unique opportunity for someone interested in the client service side of investment management at an established and growing global investment manager.


You will support the functional areas of Institutional Client Services and contribute to the overall success of the Portfolio Management team.


In this role, you will:


  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader firm's relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Prepare and coordinate account opening and client profile update documents.
  • Model, rebalance and generate transactions for portfolio managers to review.
  • Verify the impact of Portfolio transactions before they are executed.
  • Liaise with internal equity and fixed income traders.
  • Review client investment policies.
  • Support CSAs
  • Provide analytical support for sales and marketing activities.
  • Prepare presentations to clients and prospects as requested by portfolio managers.
  • Prepare and verify compliance reports.
  • Analyze the performance of investments.
  • Customize monthly and quarterly reports for clients.
  • Possibility in the medium term to assume additional responsibilities in a more direct relationship with customers.
  • Understand how JFL's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with the firm's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if have:

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Reliable and with good judgment.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor in Finance or Business or another related field.
  • Willingness to enroll in the CFA program and/or the CIM designation and/or the AAR
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset (English and French)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with the Microsoft Office suite
