Winnipeg Clinic Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy looking for a highly motivated pharmacy assistant for a casual position Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (hours are flexible).

No evening or weekend shifts.

General duties and responsibilities include greeting customers promptly and gathering prescription information. Managing customer inquiries both in person and over the phone. Receiving new and repeat prescription orders. Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts, collecting outstanding monies from customers where necessary. Answer telephone and contact physicians' offices as needed and manage incoming faxes. Accurately file completed documentation in a timely and organized manner. Ordering and maintaining inventory in the dispensary, including stock rotation and the management of expired product.

Assist in prescription preparation, data entry for new prescriptions, and managing refill request processing, adjudicate claim to Third Party payer.

Select medications to fill prescriptions and efficiently count or measure, package, and label prescriptions. May be required to mix, reconstitute, or compound prescriptions, as directed and supervised by the pharmacist. Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from customers in person or via telephone. Accurately enter and maintain appropriate data with Kroll Pharmacy software. Resolve technical issues by contacting IT Service Desk or Third-Party adjudicators as required. Performing inventory management, and maintaining proper storage of medications within the pharmacy. Ensure stock bottles are put away. Ensure regular replenishment of pharmacy drugs and supplies. Unpack and receive pharmacy orders. Manage customer returns and expired products. Prioritize recalls and immediately isolate product. Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary. Provide support and assistance to the Pharmacist(s) as required.

Previous pharmacy experience using Kroll software preferred.
