Wholesaler of Western Red Cedar and Timbertech/Azek building supplies is looking to add a Yard Worker/Forklift Operator to the staff.

Job Summary
The Yard Worker is an important part of our Order Building team.

The yard worker is responsible for accurately picking orders, organizing and tidying stock, ensuring product rotation (first in, first out) and being actively involved in the operations of the day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist Order Builders/Forklift Operators prepare/package/stage orders
• Build orders independently with strong attention to accuracy.
• Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts up to 15000 lb capacities
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is pulled accurately
• Check delivery slips upon receipt of goods ensuring accuracy and condition
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the yard including organizing stock, cleaning, and maintaining pallets/stock, leveling and covering products
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the yard
• Replenish product bins and areas as required
• Perform other related duties as needed

• Ability to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting on a regular basis, sometimes repetitious
• Related experience and knowledge is definitely an asset

• Good comprehension of numbers and simple arithmetic
• Must be able to Read, Write, and Speak English clearly
