Position Summary

The AJISS IDE team requires a
Security Specialist who will be responsible for obtaining Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation for the AJISS IDE from the Department of National Defence, and who will represent IDE in the review and follow-on discussions both internally and with the Customer, on a proposed amendment to the AJISS Security Requirements Check List (SRCL).

Key Areas of Responsibility

Work with the Government of Canada and Thales teams to achieve required security approvals/certifications for the AJISS program.
Work with Thales teams to assess specific impacts of security related amendments to the AJISS contract and represent Thales in discussions with the customers regarding those impacts.
Assist with security aspects for the development of AJISS proposals.
Define and manage tasks to achieve security related program objectives.
Attend Customer and internal meetings.
Provide input into monthly status reports.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT networks and cybersecurity.
Thorough understanding of Canadian government security standards ITSG22 and ITSG33; IT Security requirements for PROTECTED cloud hosted environments; cloud computing concepts and operations; and understanding of DND's IT system ATO authorization process.
Exceptional ability to integrate and work in a multidisciplinary team; ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions and outcomes; and ability to define tasks given a higher level objective, establish and execute a corresponding plan.
A Bachelor's degree or diploma from a recognized technical institute in Engineering, Computer Science, IT Network Management, Cyber Security, or relevant experience.
