Swamper/labourer - Red Deer, Canada - JULES OILFIELD SERVICES LTD.

Description

The Swamper must work together with the operator. The Swamper will maintain the unit alongside the operator. _Riggers will learn to tie down loads, rigging lifts, crane set up and tear down and signalling crane movements. Swamper/Riggers will be expected to complete a daily truck log and job-related paperwork. They will also learn to operate small pickers, deck trucks and mini-cranes as they advance within the company. Mostly for Local work._


Job Requirements:

• Class 5 license, GDL removed (Air brake endorsement is an asset)
• A clean 5 year Drivers Abstract
• Class 1 license is a strong asset
• Must have own reliable transportation
• Previous experience as a crane rigger/swamper is an asset
• Previous experience as a shop hand is an asset
• Use of hand signals to the operator
• Assisting the driver/crane operator on site
• Load securement
• Work in cold and inclement weather
• Understanding of rigging and using taglines
• Operating a pilot truck for overdimensional loads as required by Alberta Transportation.
• Traffic control for overdimensional loads.
• Skid steer, forklift and telehandler experience is an asset (training is available if needed)
• Follows and complies with all government legislation and internal policies and procedures.
• Wears all required PPE for the task at hand, ensuring that it is maintained and in good repair.
• Completes and submits paperwork as required by dispatch, administration and the safety department in a timely manner.
• Ensures proper load securement.
• Other duties as required.
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry is an asset
