General Labourers/Carpenter Apprentices
To work at our
Kearl ITA Project in the
Fort McMurray area

SALARY:
Up to $38.69 per hour

OVERTIME:
After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a week

TRAVEL:
$500 per completed shift

START DATE:

ASAP

SCHEDULE: 14 days on,7 days off

HOURS PER DAY:12 hours per day

PAY SCHEDULE:
Weekly Pay (Friday)

SHIFT:
Dayshift

ACCOMODATIONS:
Camp

DURATION:
Ongoing

WORK SCOPE:
Heavy civil & gland water pipeline

Requirements:

6+ months of industrial construction experience:

ESC Fire Watch ticket is an asset:

Clean drivers abstract required:

For Carpenter must have a valid Apprentice Certification from a recognized provincial training authority

Ability to work with others to achieve goals
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance

ESC Fall Protection
ESC Elevated Work Platform (EWP/AWP)
WHMIS 2015

Labourer Responsibilities:

Fire Watch (when workers performing hot work)
Complete all required safety documentation

Safety Monitoring

For activities including, but not limited to: blinding, blanking, valve removal piping, etc.
Working at heights and outdoors
Driving a company vehicle
Act as a tool runner
Spotting for heavy equipment (Guiding movement in and around work areas)
May perform other related duties as assigned

Carpenter Responsibilities:

Comprehends blueprint readings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
Understand industrial concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers, and other structures
Checks completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location.
Follow oral and written directions.
May perform other related duties as assigned
Complete all required safety documentation
Working at heights and outdoors

Pay:
$26.35-$38.69 per hour
